Just for youth — a safe, fun experience in shooting sports education
without cost to participants is planned for October 21, 2017. The rain
date is November 5. Our Youth SportsFest Event is open to all girls
and boys, ages from 8 to 18. NOAAWIVA Sportsmen, Inc. will host
the day event. Our range is located on 30516 Chincoteague Road
(Rt.175E) near Oak Hall, VA. The free event is provided as a
community service supported by the Brownell/NRA Day Program.
Drinks and food will be available to all attending. Prizes and trophies
will be awarded. All required equipment is provided without cost (ex.
— hearing and eye protection, guns to be used, ammunition and
targets). The event begins at 8:30 AM with registration and will end
about 3:30 PM. Activities include safety orientation followed by 20-
gauge shotgun/clays, .22-rifle target/silhouette, air gun

.22 Long Rifle, 2 targets, 5 shots each target at 50 yards
5 metal silhouettes at 100 yards
10 clays with shotgun
Cost is $5 for .22, both sets of targets, $5 for Clays
15 year old and younger shoot free.

With nearly 1.4 million new concealed carry permits being issued each year, it only makes sense that a national reciprocity law be enacted to protect law-abiding holders of CCW permits to cross freely from one state to another without worrying about breaking neighboring state’s gun laws.
Thanks to the newly GOP Senate, such a law could become a reality soon. Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn will reintroduce the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act which would allow permit-holding gun owners to carry and lawfully in other states that have concealed carry laws.
Cornyn explained the much-needed law would allow the concealed carry permits to act more like a driver’s license.
